Investing in the Future of Tax
Moodys Gartner Tax Law makes generous contributions to Alberta universities
When all of us tax practitioners are old and retired, we hope to rest easy in our retirement homes, knowing the future of tax is in good hands with the next generation of passionate tax professionals. Moodys Gartner Tax Law is proud to announce its $100,000 donation to each the University of Alberta (U of A) Faculty of Law and the University of Calgary (U of C) Faculty of Law.
The U of A donation will support the Bowman National Tax Moot team and student research assistantships to aid faculty research in the area of taxation law. The U of C donation will be used to create the Moodys Gartner Faculty Fellow in Tax Law, which will support initiatives such as developing tax law links between the U of C and the University of Houston, tax research, and professional development opportunities for faculty.
“Investing in education and the future of tax is a key component of our community investment strategy,” says Kim Moody, Director, Canadian Tax Advisory at Moodys Gartner Tax Law. “We are very happy to support the future tax stars (students) and faculty who will help advance our profession.”
