The Department of Finance is proposing to change the taxation of WIP so that professionals can no longer exclude year-end WIP from taxable income. This is a significant change (even if you think you have no WIP) and is not the first time the Government of Canada has attempted to change the taxation of WIP.
Kenneth Keung and Kim G C Moody will be hosting a webinar on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, to discuss the following:
- A historical review of the taxation of WIP;
- The 2017 proposed change as a result of the 2017 Federal Budget;
- Challenges posed by the new proposals; and
- What should professionals do?
We are also providing registrants with an opportunity to attend the webinar in-person, giving you the chance to meet the presenters, ask questions and truly absorb the information being presented. Seating is limited, so register quickly to take advantage of this opportunity.
